459th ARW unveils new heritage displays
The 459th Air Refueling Wing’s leadership team gathers next to one of the headquarters’ new heritage panels designed by wing historian Julius Lacano (2nd from right), May 16, 2022. Lacano was recently awarded the Air Force Reserve Command Heritage Award for leading this project over the course of eight months. The historian designed the project as a way to educate servicemembers on the wing’s history that began in 1943. This project falls squarely in line with leadership’s goal to develop resilient, committed, combat-ready Airmen. The wing’s three inspiring historical displays can be viewed on the south hallway on the second floor of the Wing’s HQ. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech Sgt. Cierra Presentado)
