A Danish F-16 Fighting Falcon connects with a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 459th Air Refueling Wing, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, during Arctic Challenge Exercise 2021, June 14. ACE 21 is a joint, multinational training event that creates a significant measure of autonomy for European partners and U.S. forces across the European theater to build security together by exercising high-intensity and global peer competitor combat scenarios. ACE 21 provides participating units with the possibility to train with the best in all possible aspects of air operations, including offensive and defensive scenarios consisting of air-to-air and air-to-ground missions.
