AFRC, Navy team up for first-ever P-8 refueling

A 756th Air Refueling Squadron boom operator pulls back on the boom telescoping lever in the boom pod of a KC-135R Stratotanker during an aerial refueling of a Naval Air Systems Command P-8A Poseidon over the Atlantic Ocean April 13, 2017. This was the first inflight refueling of a P-8A. The P-8A is only the second-ever Navy aircraft to be fitted with a receiver for aerial refueling; the first being the E-6B Mercury nearly 30 years ago. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Kat Justen)
