AFRC, Navy team up for first-ever P-8 refueling
Captain Jason Burrows, 756th Air Refueling Squadron pilot, checks the gauges in KC-135R Stratotanker prior to takeoff from the Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, flight line April 13, 2017. After a year of planning, the 756 ARW embarked on a mission to rendezvous with a Naval Air Systems Command P-8A Poseidon over the Atlantic Ocean for an inflight refueling. The P-8A is the second-ever Navy aircraft to be fitted with a receiver for aerial refueling; the first being the E-6B Mercury nearly 30 years ago. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Kat Justen)
