Warrior CARE week aids rehab of wounded
Poe, Baltimore Ravens mascot, pets a service dog during the Northeast Region Warrior CARE Event at Joint Base Andrews, Md., Nov. 14, 2016. Service canines can help with anything from mobility to post-traumatic stress disability and are considered medical equipment and are recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, an agency of the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. The events are a part of a week-long program that features education in Caregiver Support, Adaptive and Rehabilitative Sports, Recovering Airman Mentorship, and Employment and Career Readiness.
