ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS -- (Right) Lt. Col. Vanessa Mattox, 459th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron commander, explains training procedures to Capt. Eliud Lamboy, Maj. Heather Menzies and Senior Master Sgt. P.J. Pierce during an in-flight exercise April 18. Ten members of the 439th AES joined more than a dozen 459th AES members in a blended AE training mission to the island. Mission training expanded beyond the medical realm to include air refueling and an overseas sortie.
