Bright idea

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. -- Tech. Sgt. Brenda Simms, 69th Aerial Port Squadron transportation specialist, installs a new lightbulb in a home during "Christmas in April" April 28. The program helps local residents through volunteer participation in cleaning, repairs, yardwork, painting or any other needs the homeowner may have. Typical resident candidates for home makeovers are elderly, disabled, low-income or a combination of all. This year, the 459th Air Refueling Wing sent more than 30 volunteers to help improve an area home. The 459th ARW is a Reserve component of the USAF. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Amaani Lyle)
