Posting of the colors

ARLINGTON, Va. -- (Left) Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. T. Michael Moseley, Tom Galpin and six Air Force Combat Action Medal recipients salute as the Air Force Honor Guard posts the colors at the Air Force Combat Action Medal ceremony June 12. General Moseley presented the Airmen with the medal at the Air Force Memorial. The Airmen were the first in history to receive the new medal. Among the recipients was Master Sgt. Charlie Peterson, a Reservist with the 927th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich. Tom Galpin, grandson of World War I veteran Brig. Gen.
