2011 459 ARW employer appreciation flight
JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- The 459th Air Refueling Wing held a civilian employer appreciation flight on Mar. 6 here during the Unit Training Assembly. The flight was held to recognize employers of 459 ARW Reservisits for the support they have given while the Airmen have been on military duty. During the morning, the employers received a first-hand glimpse into both the wing and the Air Force Reserve mission from inside a KC-135R Stratotanker. During the flight, employers witnessed an aerial refueling mission where boom operators worked to pump gas in mid-air to fighter aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Amber Russell)
