Pilot for a Day alum get treated to Open House

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- Pilot for a Day alum (left to right), Sam Gates, Andrew McMichael and Joe Barnes look inside the cockpit of a F-16 Fighting Falcon at the Joint Services Open House here May 20. Earlier, the children attended the Pilot for a Day 2011 Reunion sponsored by the 201st Airlift Wing, the 113th Wing and the 459th Air Refueling Wing. The Pilot for a Day program offers children with serious illnesses a special day to be an Air Force pilot, giving them a break from whatever challenges they may face.
