A 459th Air Refueling Wing Spouse is doing her part for the relief efforts for the Philippines here, Nov. 21.

Marieta Manio-Brown, a native to the Philippines, is working with other members on Joint Base Andrews, Md., to collect donations for those who are recovering in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan. Diapers, toiletries, shoes, clothes and other items have been dropped off to the Brown household.

"I'm so thankful for the donations," said Brown. "I can't believe I can fill a whole box of just diapers. Every time I see the news my heart breaks and I am glad I can do what I can to help."

Brown will be taking all donations to a local LBC Express, Inc., site where they will ship all boxes to the Red Cross of the impacted areas.

To donate directly to the Brown family, contact Lt. Col. Jeff Brown, at 240-857-3765. Boxes will be packed up and delivered Saturday afternoon.
