JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. - --  Master Sgt. Frank Perna is the 459th Air Refueling Wing's new snapshot member of the month for May.

The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native is now part of the 459th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron working as a crew chief on the KC 135 aircraft.

"I'm excited to be here. I'm looking forward to learning more about my new aircraft and meeting new people," said Perna.

This is Perna's second reserve unit after spending 4 years on active duty at Pope Army Air Field in North Carolina and 7 years in reserve status at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

In his free time he enjoys going to museums, snowboarding, and spending time with his daughter Kailee.

The 459th Air Refueling Wing welcomes its newest member.
