Members of the 459th Air Refueling Wing welcomed students from Luke C. Moore High School to their hangar for a tour of 459 ARW missions Jan. 7, 2016.

Students observed presentations from the 756th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and 459th Operations group, to include a medical mannequin display and tour of the cockpit and boom pod of a KC-135R Stratotanker. Trained medical technicians, a pilot and boom operator explained their missions and answered questions.

The career advisor for the school, Eddie L. Robinson, hailed the visit a success, and said many students expressed interest in the Air Force after the visit.

"We have a number of students who have indicated that they are interested in taking the ASVAB and inquired about speaking to a recruiter," said Robinson.  "These type of tours changes lives. The benefits to our students are two fold, educational and career purposeful."
