Joint Base Andrews honored Master Sgt. Timothy Boykin, 459th Force Support Squadron sustainment operations chief as Warrior of the Month, for October 2022.

Timothy Boykin, Chief, Sustainment Operations, 459th Force Support Squadron.

Why did you decide to serve in the military?

Educational Benefits.

 

How do you think your job impacts the Wing's mission?

It is simple to me. Eating and sleeping are mandatory if any mission is to be successful.

 

What has been your favorite assignment/ Tour of duty and why?

Dover Air Force Base. Preparing and shipping the remains to their next of kin gives me great pleasure knowing that I did it with honor, dignity and respect.

 

What is your dream assignment and why?

Being assigned to the Pentagon was where I wanted to be once I arrived at JBA, and 20 years later, I am still there.

 

What is the coolest thing you have done in the military?

Several things. But If I had to name one, it would be modeling the Premiere Service Dress Uniform.

 

What hobbies do you have?

I enjoy Mardi Gras, RC Cars, Cycling, Football, DJing, Homecoming and Tailgating!

 

What is the biggest challenge you have faced in your life?

The death of my mom.
