HRDC plans Health Fair helps wing members Published April 4, 2009 By Tech. Sgt. Amaani Lyle 459th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, Md. -- The Human Resource Development Council is hosting a Health Fair Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the base theater. The health fair will feature displays and demonstrations about health issues wing members currently face, such as epilepsy, lupus and high blood pressure. "This fair is the first time we're doing something to this extent in order to take a hard look at the types of health hazards service members face," said Maj. Nicole King-Campbell, HRDC member. "We've really taken an out of the box approach to help people recognize symptoms of numerous afflictions early on." The fair is open to Reservists, active duty members, retirees and family members. Not only will members of the 459th Services Flight be on hand to answer questions, but the fair will feature eye doctors, mental health specialists, and a variety of medical professionals. People are our most valuable asset and we need to do everything we can to make sure we're healthy now and in the future," Major King-Campbell said.
