Wing passes ORI

The 459th Air Refueling Wing received a satisfactory grade for their Operational Readiness Inspection which was in Alpena Mich., June 9 through 16.

"During our inspection, we found strong leadership and teamwork were clearly evident at all levels to make the 459 ARW an effective and efficient fighting force," said Master Sgt. Tommy Mull, Air Mobility Command Inspector General team member. "The wing's performance during the ORI resulted in an overall grade of satisfactory."

The IG team chief congratulated the wing on their success.

"Congratulations 459th!" said Col. Mike Oberbroeckling, AMC IG team chief. "Be proud, celebrate and keep up the good work. We won't be coming back for an ORI for a long time."

After the awards and comments from the IG, the wing commander praised the Airmen on a job well done.

"I commend you for your performance," said Col. Samuel Mahaney, commander of the 459 ARW. There was a service before self mentality and the wingman came first- not the individual .That mentality coupled with a tremendous attitude is why we were successful for this ORI. I am proud of you and you should be proud of yourselves."
