MOF becomes deactivated during ceremony

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- An inactivation ceremony for the 459th Maintenance Operations Flight was held at Hangar 11 here, July 13.

The MOF was inactivated due to Air Force budgetary decisions and reorganization within the Air Force.

In the ceremony, Lt. Col. Erica Foster, 459 MOF commander, relinquished command to Col. Donald Robison, the 459th Maintenance Group commander. The 459 MOF flag and guidon were then rolled-up and cased; officially retiring it.

The MOF's functions and personnel assigned to the flight will now fall under the 459 MXG.
