Winter is coming! And that brings cold temperatures. So to keep us warm during the frosty months, the 11th Civil Engineer Squadron here will initiate an installation-wide "No Heat/No Cool" period from Oct. 15 – Nov. 15, 2018, weather permitting, to assist in switching heating, ventilation and air conditioning units from cooling to heating modes.

Additionally, the 459th Air Refueling Wing November UTA is included in the previously mentioned span of time.

During this period, facility ventilation systems will not provide heated nor cooled air so HVAC technicians can complete all equipment servicing and startup preparations.

Last year, Team Andrews was able to save $53,330 in electric and natural gas consumption. These savings can potentially be re-invested into base operations.

Though facilities at the 459th will be affected, some designated facilities like child development centers and housing will be exempt from "No Heat / No Cool."

The 11th CES asks all affected to be patient and understanding during this period.

Please contact 11th CES customer service at 301-981-5151 with any questions related to the HVAC turnover.
