Election day is about a month away, and if you plan to mail in your vote, please continue reading.

If you requested an absentee ballot, you should receive your ballot by early October. Vote and send it back by October 13, 2018 if you’re outside the United States or October 26, 2018 if you’re in the U.S. It is recommended that military members without access to a Military Postal Service send it by October 2, 2018.

If you requested your ballot but haven’t received it, you should contact your state election office to ask about the status of your ballot request. You may find contact information for a local or state election office at: https://www.fvap.gov/info/contact.

If there isn’t enough time to receive and send back your ballot before the election, use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) at FVAP.gov or contact the Installation Voter Assistance (IVA) Office at your Airman & Family Readiness Center for assistance.

After you send in your ballot, you can even check if it was received by your election office. Check the status of your ballot at FVAP.gov.

Please feel free to call the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) at 1-800-438-8683 or email at vote@fvap.gov.
