JOINT BASE ADNREWS, Md. -- Pope Francis, the 266th pope of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City, landed at Joint Base Andrews airfield Sept. 22, 2015. During his visit he is scheduled to meet with U.S. leaders, the homeless and prisoners. This is the first visit by Pope Francis to the U.S. and the first visit by a pope since 2008.
