JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. --

Lt. Col. Travis Posey is the new commander of the 459th Operations Support Squadron. He took commander squadron, during an assumption of command ceremony held here on Jan. 11, 2025. As the 459th OSS commander, he will lead the unit in ensuring operational readiness, aircrew training, mission planning, and airfield operations for the 459th Air Refueling Wing's KC-135 Stratotanker mission. He previously served as the 4th Air Force Chief of Readiness and Plans at March Air Reserve Base, Calif. The 459th Operations Group Commander, Col. Randall Heusser, was the ceremony's presiding official.
