Shirley Wilson: The Air Force has changed in that there are more women in key positions traditionally held by men -- pilots, security forces, fire fighters, cargo specialists, and maintenance. TB: What is the most important message we can give our young troops today? SW: Be the best you can be and don't let anyone hold you back. Always carry yourself in a professional way. Give respect to get it. Respect your uniform, military bearing and core values. TB: What woman has influenced you? SW: Our wing commander, Col. Stayce Harris, has influenced me a lot. She's a diligent, intelligent woman who puts the troops first. It's really an honor to work with her.
