Cold weather uniform guidance issued

ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, Md. --   With cold weather, ice, and snow hitting the region, the installation commander has issued guidance to Airmen on the proper wear of cold weather garments while in uniform.  

Authorized Air Battle Uniform outerwear includes the All Purpose Environmental Clothing System, the Improved Rain System, the Cold Weather Parka, and the Blue All-Weather Coat. 

The wear of Battle Dress Uniform outer garments such as Gore-Tex and the Field Jacket with the ABU should be kept at a minimum and only take place when Airmen have not yet been able to obtain the APECS or IRS This "mix-match" policy is currently authorized for members of the 459th ARW until May 1.
