Colonel ANN L. BROWN

Col Ann L. Brown is the commander of the 459th Mission Support Group, Joint Base Andrews, Md.  She is responsible for the training and readiness of more than 500 assigned personnel. The group consists of the 69th Aerial Port Squadron, 459th Force Support Squadron, 459th Civil Engineering Flight, 459th Security Forces Squadron, 459th Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 759th Logistics Readiness Flight. The 459 MSG provides support to 1,300 wing personnel and provides combat support services for all U.S. military branches in times of peace, war, and national emergency within the United States and abroad.  It also provides mission-ready Airmen in accordance with Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command and Air Mobility Command policy. Col Brown entered the Air Force in 1989, graduating from the University of Virginia and receiving her commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps.  She has served in a variety of logistics and mission support positions during both her active duty and reserve careers, including flight commander, Installation Deployment Officer, major command staff officer, squadron operations officer, squadron commander, expeditionary squadron commander, Headquarters Air Force deputy director, deputy group commander, and group commander.
